Yusuf joined MNP in 2007, initially as a Technical Support Executive before working his way up through the ranks to take on the role of Technical Support Manager. As a Technical Support Manger, Yusuf heads up our Technical Support team, mentoring members of the team and assisting in technical support queries. Yusuf is involved in ensuring our clients are given the best possible customer support available, working to resolve any issues that crop up quickly and effectively. We sat down and spoke to Yusuf about his role at MNP…

Brief Background to Yusuf’s MNP journey:

I started off as a Technical Support executive in 2007 and enjoyed the challenge and variation of the role.  After being an assistant to the then Tech Support Manager, I made the step up to running the department in 2010 (something I never envisaged doing) and have never really looked back.

What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?

A typical day for me is assessing the calls that come in, mentoring the members of my department and assisting/guiding them on technical database queries.  I will also act as a go to person for clients should there be calls of a high priority nature raised.  I will also organise any WRF work that will come into the Technical Support department. 

What three words would you use to describe your role?

Challenging, rewarding and unique.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Knowing that I have either helped in-house to evolve skills within my team or helped a client on an issue; this gives me great satisfaction.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I’m sure I would get sick of it eventually, but it would be a Chicken Madras with Pilau rice, a Garlic Naan and poppadum’s.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Deep, dark and progressive house music and following the mighty Tottenham Hotspur (for my sins).

What advice would you give to new starters beginning at MNP?

There is no such thing as a silly question!
