Job vacancy for C++ Programmer/Senior Programmer
As one of the UK’s leading solutions providers of order management, warehousing and purchasing management systems we work with some of the most interesting direct commerce operators in the UK.
An opportunity has arisen with our expanding development team to recruit an additional C++ Programmer to join us. You will be responsible for both bug fixing and the development of our core products.
This role, which reports to the Development Manager, will provide you with every opportunity to take responsibility for driving forward the software and helping shape its future development and progression.
We are looking for someone with programming experience in transactional/operational software and who is extremely enthusiastic, passionate about programming and dedicated to keeping up to date and with the latest technologies.
Skills required:
Excellent level of Modern C++ (C++14/C++17)
Analyst skills
Advanced knowledge of SQL programming
Good understanding of network infrastructures
Full understanding of development life cycle
Comfortable with source control process
An advantage but not necessary :
C#
Knowledge of cloud environment
Although your technical skills are of paramount importance you will also need to be a disciplined person who has the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, and can work both autonomously and as part of a team.
This position is as a remote, home based worker. You will be supported by a development team who all work remotely and use audio visual communications to share information and problem solve.
You can be based anywhere in the UK but you will need to make occasional visits to our head office in Salisbury.
